Sandeep Nanduri is a 2009 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre who is known for his passion to serve the people through proper implementation of Government programs and policies as well as through innovative administrative decisions. He has switched from corporate world to the public service because the strong will for public service has always been in his mind.

Sandeep grew in the environment of administration and policing as his father was one of the most respected IPS officers of Andhra Pradesh. He always wanted to become an IAS. After completing B. Tech and MBA, he did corporate job for a short while before plunging into the Civil Services. In his first attempt at UPSC Civil Services Examination, he was able to get IRS because of low rank. He joined and continued preparation. In the second attempt, he cracked CSE with All India Rank of 91. He got IAS with Tamil Nadu cadre which he always wanted.

Sandeep got his first posting as Sub Collector of Hosur. Since then, there has been no looking back for him. He has started to show a different zeal and passion for public service from Hosur. He has also done tremendous job in managing water logging as well as draught problem in Tamil Nadu. His performance as the Commissioner of Madurai Municipal Corporation has been scintillating.
